Gifts of gratitude..!
I used to worry that how my small clinic was not worthy enough or would be liked enough by people coming here for their treatment..
But then, with time, I started to slowly realiz
e that those things weren't what mattered..
I used to be busy fretting about all things I hadn't done yet to expand it.. till the day, today, with time.. when I am so proud of how far I have come.. !
This all happened because I never focused on the destination.. so much that we forget to enjoy the journey.. !
This article is especially for those whom I couldn't say thankyou!
I still remember the day when I received the authentic original Elizabeth Arden perfume from one of my patients who lives in London.
The thing was that, when you are chosen as a favourite doctor not only by the poor and the locals but also by the rich, the intellectuals, the PhDs, the scientists etc. It's definitely a feather in your crown..!
A hospital can be the most impartial place in this world, were just after beautifully treating a poor farmer and then a housemaid, the next one in the que is a scientist from the USA,
It was one of those glorious opportunities when a young scholar, Google's you and exclusively travels from pune just to get treated by you.
In another case, just Last month, I was done with successful treatment of a climate change scientist from Germany along with my team of Endodontist and oral & maxillofacial surgeons. It was not just his gesture but so much patience and complete devotion, faith in what we do , that made treatments go well ..
I remember one very old poor आजी, who brings fresh farm ginger and coriander for me, every month just as a token of gratitude since so many years.
One patient who brings organic jaggery often cannot be forgotten as well.
That Sayyad Bhabhi who brings one big steel dabba full of (शिरखुर्मा) SheerKhurma every year during Eid for me and my staff.
That Kuber kaka, who gets Jackfruit, raw mangoes every season from his garden..
Mr and Mrs Mhatre from Raigad who get ragi bhakri and fish whenever they visit us.
Kadam Kaka-kaku who regularly bring those amazing puranpoli's and diwali faral..! And the list continues..
Be it that small piece of ginger, jaggery, Sheer Khurma, mangoes, or an expensive Elizabeth Arden .. all of them stir my heart❤️
Restores faith in humanity.
That, there is a world beyond money.
A world of gratitude. Gratefulness.
In this journey of life, there are countless beautiful moments and endless opportunities to fill your soul.. but all that's not always easy..
In fact there can be a lot of hard work and sleepless nights in between the success stories..
Maybe each day isn't always great but one should learn to look for the small great things in each day..for they are just waiting to be found..
So guys, whenever you are down..
Remember these wonderful people who completely believe in you. Who are grateful to you beyond words… throughout your lives!
Always remember that you are strong, proud and able to overcome anything, you are not going to let wrong turns, wrong decisions and people who ill-treat you, change who you are or want to be..!
It's your life, your story! Never stop believing in yourself..
You may not be where you want to be yet.. but every day in every way .. be closer to it .. that will make you happy..!
Love who you are .. who you are becoming! stay loyal and committed to your work..
People will come and go.. but your work will always help you burn brightly and fly higher.. !
