Which are the four wheels of happiness which help us drive through this life in a smoother way? Don’t be surprised, if I tell you that these forms of wheels are a certain kind of chemicals or certain hormones which run in our body.. which help us to remain happy! The first one among them is called as dopamine. Oxytocin, Serotonin and Endorphins are the other three. Dopamine is also known as the reward chemical. Often, dopamine gives us such a high feeling, a rewarding feeling.. Therefore it is also known as the reward chemical or the 'Feel good Harmone' . Its responsible for blissful feeling, motivation, concentration, and learning.. Its deficiency can lead to procrastination, low self-esteem, lack of motivation, low-energy, inability to focus, feeling anxious n hopeless and lot of mood swings.. If you want to increase its levels - you can do meditation, make a to do list, plan your goals , eat fresh and nutritious food and increase your creativity either by writing, or in music or embrace an art. You often tend to get high dopamine levels after completing a task, or achieving a goal, doing self-care activities, eating food, specially, the tasty ones like - chocolates cakes, pastries and also celebrating the wins in our life..✨
Oxytocin is also known as the 'love hormone' ❤️ . It is often secreted while playing with a baby, cuddling, holding hand, hugging your family, giving someone and compliment or even playing with your pets- like playing with a dog, etc. It is responsible for bonding, trust, arousal, communication skills, anti- stress and self esteem.. Its deficiency can lead you do you feel stressed, disconnection in relationships, insomnia and feeling lonely. Serotonin is also known as the 'mood stabilising drug' or a mood stabiliser. It's the calm harmone or the wellbeing harmone..lt gives a sense of well being , and is responsible for social behaviour, our appetite, sleep and memory.. serotonin is secreted in the body while meditating, running, walking in the nature.. swimming and cycling & also after sun exposure. Its deficiency can make one feel overly sensitive, anxious, have social phobia, obsession or compulsion disorder. Endorphin is the 'pain-killer'. It is often secreted during laughter, essential oil therapies, watching a comedy movie, eating a dark chocolate, spicy food or even after exercising..It is responsible for the feeling of euphoria & pleasure. Its deficiency can lead to anxiety, depression, aches and pains and impulsive behaviour.
Guys, so work on these 4 aspects and pave a way towards an amazing life.
I, personally am , happy most of the times.. Ha ha ..& I really don’t know which of the above chemicals is responsible for my happiness... But each one around me perceives that I am motivated all the time.. Especially my staff feels that I am always inspired and full of energy..✨ yes, sometimes I do believe that is true, because most of it comes from within.. and an external factor cannot make you happy or unhappy unless there is a trigger inside you.. Outside things don’t affect me much when my body and mind are connected.. It is not at all difficult to be efficient and productive.. ultimately everything is 'within' and no external factor can ever rule us and this impetus makes me wake up every day at 5 AM. There is hardly any day when I haven’t woke up so early. Mornings are the most important part of the day, something with which we begin.. but the study shows that most of the people check their phones just after opening their eyes, even before going to the loo, probably this gives them a dose of gratification..! Social media news, likes, dislikes, comments, emails, etc - something which gives us an instant gratification, ie, an instant dose of dopamine! we need to have something called dopamine detox! Ha ha!
My kids are also bundles of energy, who keep me inspired , always , and keep me on my toes.. ! - to take each and every day with complete enthusiasm.. Many times I remember a beautiful song of Shahrukh Khan- ' Kal Ho Na Ho'... ( Which gives me a dopamine High), well we don’t know about tomorrow , but to live in this present moment at its fullest is our responsibility... Take the present as a 'present' which is a 'gift' from the Almighty..!
